APRIL 2008

Notes from Carol

One of the topics celebrated this month is reading more and watching less TV. Centers and homes can encourage this by not turning on your TV sets late in the day for entertainment while waiting for parents to pick up the kids. Have activities planned that still keep them quiet but involved. Read a story and have the kids act out the parts.

Another day to celebrate is Arbor Day. Did you know it takes 17 trees to make a sheet of paper?

Plant a tree on Arbor day with the class.

Your CCCS Representatives

Do you know who your CCCS representatives are?

Every center and home has an Education Specialist

and a Behavior Specialist assigned to them. If you do not know yours, call the office 352-315-3905,

Education Dept. and find out yours. They are a

valuable resource and can help you in many

ways.
